Anyah's Story

For the Johnson family, Cook Children’s is more than a hospital where 13-year-old Anyah receives treatment for sickle cell disease. It’s a place where nurses and child life specialists greet her by name. It’s a place where her whole family feels comforted and confident knowing Anyah is getting the very best care. And it’s where one of Anyah’s younger brothers, who turned out to be a perfect match for the stem cell transplant she needed, became her donor.
