            Help students grow and give
Our Promise Partners initiative is the perfect way to help students and schools take action!
Students in our community have a heart for Cook Children's patients. Through philanthropic projects, from bake sales to art auctions, they combine their creativity and passion to raise crucial funds, while learning practical leadership and teamwork skills.
For many students, making a meaningful difference is personal. Precious, a junior at Frontier STEM High School, is a testament to this, having spent time at Cook Children’s for a chronic illness. When her school’s Key Club decided to host a talent show fundraiser, she knew she could give back to those that did so much for her and her family.
“A huge thing that stood out to us was the abundance of resources that Cook Children’s strives to provide. From therapy dogs to fully paid treatments, Cook Children’s dedication to helping kids overcome their ailments is genuinely inspiring.” she said.
If your student’s school is eager to give back, let’s work together to bring their ideas to life. Our team makes it easy to start!

Plan for the future of care
At Cook Children’s, we’re always planning for the next generation. Where we don’t have a cure today, we keep looking. Each new clinical trial or research project we pursue, means a more positive outcome for the next child treated under our blue peaks.
Leaving a compassionate legacy will continue to improve children’s health far into the future. Turner-Cook Society is a group of dedicated donors who are doing just that by including Cook Children’s Health Foundation in their estate planning. Members receive access to expert resources, exclusive recognition and special events- but, most importantly, they know they’re making a lasting impact.
With so many options for financial planning, it can be challenging to know what path is right for you and your family. Our Turner-Cook Society team wants to help you navigate the possibilities and customize a plan based on your goals. Visit our site for free resources or get in touch to learn more!

            A home for healing
Arjun is a bright, lively 6-year-old with a knack for cracking jokes and making everyone around him laugh. Beneath that playful spirit though, Arjun faces a big challenge: he’s living with beta thalassemia major, a chronic disorder that causes severe anemia. Without regular blood transfusions and other treatments, it can be life-threatening.
When Arjun was just a baby, his parents, Dixita and Anand, learned of his diagnosis. It was a tough moment, realizing their little boy would face a lifelong journey with this condition. A year later, the family moved from Chicago to North Texas, needing to find new specialists to care for Arjun. Thankfully, they found a home at Cook Children’s with hematologist Timothy McCavit, M.D.
Thanks to Dr. McCavit and his team, Child Life specialists and especially facility dog Steve, Arjun takes his frequent trips to Cook Children’s in stride. And for Dixita and Anand, there’s peace of mind knowing their son is in the very best hands.
“Because it’s lifelong, you really need a strong relationship with the team,” Dixita shares. “And that’s exactly what we’ve found here.”
Gifts like yours make stories like Arjun’s possible.
