Wonderland: Christmas in July
While summer is in full swing, a special team of elves at Cook Children’s is already preparing holiday magic for patients and families.
Each year, Wonderland transforms our medical center campuses into a place of joy, comfort and celebration for children spending the holidays in the hospital. From twinkling lights and festive décor to special events and meaningful gifts, these moments are made possible through the generosity of community partners.
By becoming a Wonderland sponsor, your company helps create unforgettable experiences for children and families during a season that can feel especially difficult. Sponsors also receive recognition across our medical centers in Fort Worth and Prosper, volunteer opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful difference for kids who need it most.
Join us in bringing holiday cheer to Cook Children’s this season.
Sponsors who commit prior to July 1, 2026, will also receive an exclusive invitation to participate in our Christmas in July patient party, a special summertime celebration that brings a little North Pole magic to patients and families in the middle of summer.
Fresh possibilities for Jack at Party on the Patio
When Tim and Ashley found out their son Jack has Kabuki syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, they did what so many parents do: they searched for answers, resources and a path forward.
The Mulvaneys found a team at Cook Children’s Child Study Center who could walk alongside them. Specialists, caregivers and educators, working together to help Jack reach his full potential. Jack now has a learning environment tailored to his needs, with a focus on social growth, life skills and meaningful relationships.
Tim knew they were in the right place. “We want the perfect match for Jack—Child Study Center and Jane Justin School offer that unique fit.”
In May, supporters gathered at Joe T. Garcia’s for Party on the Patio, an evening of impact, benefiting the Child Study Center. Guests heard from Mayor Mattie Parker and the Mulvaney family to learn more about the incredible impact this center is having on kids and education in our community. The event raised over $361,000, in support of programs, facilities and scholarships at the school.
“We are so fortunate that philanthropic support makes the best possible care and the support of Child Study Center possible right here in Fort Worth,” Ashley says. “We found out quickly that we couldn’t do it alone. It takes all the specialists and doctors, the friends and support system we’ve had to lean on, but strangers too. We’re grateful to all those who have given generously and shown they believe in our son. We’ve built strong relationships here and hope we can help others the way they’ve helped Jack.”
“Turner-Cook Society treasures my legacy”
To Kathleen, legacy means making a difference.
A dedicated Cook Children’s volunteer for 17 years, Kathleen brings joy to patients through play, imagination and costume, dressing up as beloved characters throughout the year. She is passionate about helping children simply be kids, even during a hospital stay.
Through her years of volunteering, Kathleen has seen firsthand the compassion, comfort and care Cook Children’s provides for families every day. Wanting to make a lasting impact for future generations of children, she chose to include Cook Children’s in her estate plans.
Turner-Cook Society honors generous supporters like Kathleen who have made a planned gift through their will, trust or other estate plans to help ensure Cook Children’s can continue caring for children for years to come.
