Small Donations, Big Impact
You make a difference when you round up at the register
If you’ve been to a local Walmart, Costco, Ace Hardware, Panda Express or Love’s Travel Stop, you’ve likely seen the yellow and red Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) balloon. And, if you’ve made a donation at the register, rounded up your purchase to the nearest whole dollar or said, “Thank you for fundraising,” to a team member, you’ve made a difference for our patients.
Founded more than 40 years ago, CMN Hospitals helps to connect the dots between the national brands you love and local pediatric hospitals like Cook Children’s. Every dollar raised through CMN Hospitals stays local, so funds raised in the community go back to the community.
What can a few pennies do for kids at Cook Children’s? It’s easy to feel as though rounding up a purchase or giving $1 at the register won’t make a difference, but thousands of small gifts add up. Every time a customer says, “Yes!” at the register, we move one step closer to fulfilling our Promise to improve the well-being of every child in our care and in our communities.
“Small donations at the register come together to make a huge difference for our kids,” said Karol Johnson, Cook Children’s CMN Hospitals manager. “One year, our local Walmart stores raised enough to purchase a new Teddy Bear Transport ambulance, $1 at a time.”
Throughout the year, CMN Hospitals partners in Bosque, Comanche, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Grayson, Hamilton, Hill, Hood, Jack, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant and Wise counties host CMN Hospitals campaigns that support our patients on their journeys to healing. Can we count on you to join them?
